Day One

It is 10:19 on 6 Jan 2011 and I have just finished drinking a liter of warm salt water. Was I drowning? No. Was it a stupid dare? No. Was I forced to? No. Am I insane? That's debateable. After all, undergoing The Master Cleanse detox--or, in my case, a modified version of it--isn't exactly one of the most rational or logical ideas to course through my brain. Today though, marks day one. To kick start the detox, I drank a glass of China Slim Tea last night. I'm not really certain on whether that'll work or not, but from now on I plan on just drinking a glass of organic green tea in the evenings.

This modified version I'm following is more of me making use of what's already in the house rather than buying the neccessary ingredients. For the juice, I'm using a kalamansi fruit concentrate with the ingredients being only sugar, purified water, freshly squeezed kalamansi, and honey. Nutritional facts are in the picture below. The directions say to mix 2 to 3 tbsps. in a glass of water. It literally says "a glass of hot or cold water," so I'm not really certain quite how much water I'm supposed to use, but ended up mixing 1 tbsp. per every 5 oz. I placed it in a waterbottle and ended up with 25 oz. and approx. 250 calories worth of the drink.

Well, with all my intermittent multi-tasking, it's now 10:48 and I still haven't had any major bowel movement feelings. Eh, perhaps a rumbling here or there, but the urge to expel fecal matter has yet to envelop me. Oh! And as a side note....I just began my period this morning. Normally, I wouldn't share that kind of information, but perhaps it will affect the process. That's all for now though.

But! It's now 12:07 and I've already gone through the bowel movement. It wasn't nearly as terrible as I thought it might've been. And I must say, the juice is fine too. In fact, I'm not feeling any hunger pangs at all! Though I doubt two hours success is something to be too ecstatic about. I'll be posting more details later and background. Oh, and to clarify, many posts I compose are done through email on my phone before I go on the computer to post them up; hence, I note down the time and date so often.

I don't know if anyone is reading this or if they will, but until next time!
